2020 at Wengers (By the Numbers)

2020 has been a challenging year for small businesses across the entire world. At Wengers, we were certainly not an exception. This year has pushed our business to adapt and overcome -- which was made possible by supportive customers, dedicated and resilient employees, and our amazing community.

In 2020, we worked incredibly hard to take care of our customers, our employees, and our environment. We were so happy to be deemed an “essential business” so that we could remain open and continue to supply equipment and parts to all the farmers whose jobs were more critical than ever

Along the way, we were able to record some numbers that we’re incredibly proud of in such a tough year. Here is a review of our 2020 - by the numbers!

1,202

At Wengers, our salvage process begins with tear down. This year, we parted out a record 1,202 salvage units! Our tear down team has grown in recent years, and we couldn’t be more grateful to them for their hard work.

350,000

After the salvage units are torn down, individual parts are cleaned and added to our inventory. Because of the work of our tagging team, we entered 2021 with over 350,000 parts in our inventory!

115,000 & 16,422

Next, of course, is to actually connect customers with all those parts on the shelf and all of the equipment of the front lots. Our sales teams took more than 115,000 phone calls this year and, in turn, we were able to ship 16,442 packages to our customers -- which was truly unfathomable for our business a short time ago. We thank them for treating each and every customer with respect and kindness.

1.4 million

Lastly, our recycling efforts. It has been a huge focus of our business for a very long time, and this year we recycled over 1.4 million pounds of scrap! This is one of the many ways that we continue to carry out the vision of our founder, Carl Wenger.

On behalf of Wengers of Myerstown, thank you to everyone who supported us during this unique, challenging year. We appreciate your willingness to support a family business! Here is to an exciting 2021 on the Wengers lot!
