The Wenger Foundation, Inc. was founded in January 1996 as a private, non-profit organization. The mission of The Wenger Foundation Inc. is to support religious, educational and community service programs. The Foundation is supported through corporate contributions from Wengers of Myerstown, as well as, individual contributions and fund solicitations for special events.
The most notable event of the Foundation is the annual Praise Dinner. This event, begun in 1996, has raised in excess of $1.2 million for the benefit of Christian ministries. Recipients of funding from this event have included Lebanon Valley Youth for Christ, Brethren Disaster Relief, COBYS Family Services, Friendship Community, Evangelical School of Theology and On Fire Youth Ministry. This event has brought some of the finest entertainment in the Southern Gospel music industry into the Lebanon Valley.
Praise Dinner 2013 will be held on Thursday, April 18th at the Lebanon Valley Expo Center in Lebanon, PA. The evening includes a buffet style dinner and inspirational entertainment by Matthew Hagee and Canton Junction.
Tickets for this event are available for $100.00 each. The expenses for this event are underwritten by several sponsors, so all money raised from tickets sales goes directly to the benefit of Christian ministries.
